Jefferson Butterfly Bulletin
January 5th, 2025
Dear Jefferson Families,
Happy New Year! I hope this letter finds you and your family refreshed and rejuvenated after the winter break. On behalf of all of us at Jefferson Early Childhood Center, I would like to welcome you back as we embark on the second half of an exciting and productive school year.
As we return to our routines, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for your ongoing partnership in supporting your child’s education. Your involvement plays an essential role in the success and growth of our students and school community.
The coming months are filled with opportunities for learning, growth, and connection. Here are a few updates and reminders as we begin the new year:
Snack: Beginning this month, we will be providing snack for students in Rooms 101, 103, 106, 107, and 108. The snack calendar can be found below and a printed copy will be sent home with your child.
Upcoming Events: Keep an eye for important dates including a family concert, PAC meetings, kindness week, and preschool screenings for new students.
Communication: If you have any questions, concerns, or updates about your child, please don’t hesitate to reach out to their teacher or our office. Maintaining strong lines of communication ensures we can best support your child.
Health and Wellness: With the colder months upon us, please remind your child about the importance of handwashing and please keep them home if they are unwell. Together, we can maintain a healthy learning environment for everyone. Please also dress your child for the weather as students may play outside weather permitting.
2025-2026 Registration for Returning Students: Registration for next school year is soon approaching. Families will be able to register returning students and prior to registration being approved, families must submit proof of income (please see attached document below) and complete a parent interview (please use the Google form below). Proof of income can be submitted at the parent interview.
2025-2026 Registration for New Students: Registration for new students will not be approved until after you and your child participate in a preschool screening. Please use the Google Form below if you would like to schedule a screening.
I am continually impressed by the dedication and resilience of our students, staff, and families. As we look ahead, I am confident that we will continue to achieve great things together.
Thank you for your unwavering support and trust in Jefferson Early Childhood Center. Let’s make 2025 a year of growth, success, and celebration for our school community!
Warm regards,
Ms. Barkley

Your child will not be required to participate in the developmental screening, as they have already been screened.
Enrollment for New Students
If you intend on enrolling another child for preschool at Jefferson for the remainder of the 24-25 school year or for the 25-26 school year, please complete the Jefferson Early Childhood Center Preschool Screening Questionnaire.
