Rock the Test House Rally
As a school, we had a great time celebrating the significant academic progress our students have achieved in reading and math from the beginning of the year to the middle of the year. Each student received brag tags to attach to their backpacks, with the opportunity to earn even more as they reach their academic goals. We also motivated them for the upcoming CAASPP testing for grades 3-6 and the end-of-year assessments for grades K-6, encouraging them to put forth their best effort. To further celebrate their commitment to excellence, all students received "Rock the Test" necklaces as a symbol of encouragement and recognition for consistently striving to do their personal best! It was a great day!
The Frog Prince
The Millswood Drama Club delivered a fantastic performance of "The Frog Prince" for our TK-6th grade students on Friday. Our Roadrunners were such a respectful and engaged audience! It was heartwarming to see our former Roadrunners on stage showcasing their skills. Great job to everyone!

Reese Reminders
California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP)
Attention Reese Roadrunner Families in Grades 3-6!
Our students will be participating in the statewide California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) from April 14th-25th.
Parents, you can play a vital role in supporting your child during this testing period. Here are some tips to ensure they are well-prepared:
*Encourage Effort: Remind your child to do their best on the test and to work through each question thoughtfully. The test is untimed, allowing students to take breaks and work at their own pace.
*Ensure Rest: A good night’s sleep is essential—aim for 9-12 hours for your child to help them perform at their best.
*Eat a Healthy Breakfast: Begin each day with a nutritious breakfast. Don’t forget that Reese offers free breakfast for all students every day from 7:40 AM to 8:05 AM.
On test days, we will provide snacks sourced from our LUSD Nutrition Services, ensuring they are nutritious and peanut-free. If your child has a food allergy, you're welcome to send a safe snack from home.
Thank you for your continued support in helping our Roadrunners shine during the CAASPP!
