Our Kindness Campaign is off to a great start! We are implementing a 'Caught Being Kind' Campaign across all grade levels. Staff members who see a student showing kindness, compassion, and a helpful nature will be given a Kindness Ticket. Names will be drawn from our Kindness bucket and winners will receive weekly prizes! Check out this week's winner and thank you to Freddy's Steakburger's on Route 37!
Please continue to emphasize the importance of kindness, respect, and understanding at home. We also have a weekly quote focused on Kindness. This week's quote was: 'If you can't think of anything nice to say, you're not thinking hard enough' - Kid President. We are also focusing on greetings and kind words. #kindnesscampaign2024
Our PBSIS positive behavior campaign also kicked off! As you know, students are given tickets for being responsible, respectful, and safe. Each week we pull three lucky winners per grade level to receive great prizes. These students are featured in each newsletter. Check out this week's Wildcat Winners below!
We thank you for attending last night's Back to School Night! Our dedicated teachers and staff members are excited for the year to come. We all pride ourselves in open and honest communication so that we can best serve our students and families. It was a wonderful event. A big thank you and shoutout to Toms River High School North's Hispanic Heritage Club for their help for their help!
On Thursday we were visited by TEAM members who came to our 4th and 5th grade classrooms. They did an outstanding job!
Today, we were visited by representatives from PBH and they delivered an amazing presentation on being kind and respectful to each other. The COMPASS program will continue to meet with our students to deliver lessons related to our monthly Kindness Themes (pillars). Next month will be the topic of Respect for our annual and ongoing Week of Respect bullying prevention campaign.

ParentSquare is a communication app that we use to get information out quickly to our school community. It is a great idea to download the ParentSquare app to your Smartphone and make sure you use banners, sounds, badges, and push notifications so you know a message was sent. ParentSquare also sends an email to you when something is posted and can also translate into any language. Please download the app today!
Finally, the school has an active Instagram Account that we post the many happenings at Walnut Street. This account has over 360 followers. On this handle, we post amazing pictures and video of the goings on during the school year. Please follow us on Instagram: @wsewildcats
