It’s a great day at RVA!!!

This week, we kick off our spring SOL test administration! Check out the dates for our SOL subjects below. I want to wish every RVA Owl the best of luck as you embark on your SOL tests. RVA Owl Families, remember that studying to prepare for the tests, ensuring a good night's sleep before test day, and getting a healthy breakfast on test day morning are important to your success on the tests. If you have any questions about the upcoming SOL tests, please reach out to your child's teacher or our school's testing coordinators: Ms. Tiffany Lindfors (tlindfors@rvaschools.net) and Ms. Melinda Brooks (mbrooks4@rvaschools.net).

Here are some important upcoming dates...mark your calendars!

• April 29- EOC Reading and Algebra I SOL Testing at Henderson Middle School
• April 30- Algebra II, Geometry, US History, & Biology SOL Testing at Henderson Middle School
• May 1st- Earth Science & Biology SOL Testing at Henderson Middle School
• May 1st-Big Feet Meet! at Huguenot High School
• May 2nd-WHG to1500 and VaUS History SOL Testing at Henderson Middle School
• May 3rd-Grade 8 Integrated Reading and Writing Test
• May 6-10th-National Teacher Appreciation Week!! Hoot Hoot!!
• May 26 - RPS Closed - Memorial Day
• May 29-RVA Graduation Ceremony at VUU Living & Learning Center (6pm)
• May 30-RVA Moving On Ceremony for 5th & 8th Grade (Details forthcoming)
• May 31- Last Day of School & End of Year Celebration (TBD)
• May 31- Last Day of School for Students and Teachers

Summer School at RPS is held in person only. Virtual Scholars planning to attend summer school will need to report to the summer school location assigned to their zoned school based on their current address.
