MUSTANG WEEKLY NEWSLETTER #14
November 15th, 2024
WEEKLY MESSAGE
Dear Mustang Family,
As we approach the Thanksgiving break, we reflect on how grateful we are to be part of such an amazing Mustang community. Your unwavering support, dedication, and encouragement lift us up and remind us of the strength we find in one another. Together, we create a school culture built on care, unity, and excellence.
This week, we invite our students and families to attend NISD College Night—a wonderful opportunity to explore your future and the exciting possibilities that await. Check out the flyer in this newsletter for more details. It’s never too early to dream big and start planning!
For our Class of 2025 seniors, an exciting milestone is just around the corner. This week, Jostens will be on campus to present information on caps and gowns. Yes, it's time to prepare for this memorable step in your journey. While we are still awaiting final graduation dates and times from the district, we’ll share those details with you as soon as they are confirmed.
Let’s make this a fantastic week filled with Mustang pride and positivity. We are so thankful for each and every one of you—students, teachers, staff, parents, and community members—who make this school a place of growth and inspiration.
We wish you a joyful and restful Thanksgiving break next week. You deserve it!
With gratitude,

MUSTANG CHOIR IS COOL
This week our choir students explored the power of music by reflecting on why they love to sing. Each student wrote a personal response, sharing how singing makes them feel connected to themselves and others. "Singing is fun! It helps me process my emotions and connect with others." said one student. Another shared, "I like to sing because I find it calming and fun to express my feelings through melodies and harmonies. I enjoy singing with others, more than myself. Being in choir was a great choice!" A third noted, "Because I want to be a part of something that makes me feel seen and heard. I love singing wonderful music!" This activity reminded us of the deep, unifying power of music, especially in a time when our country feels more divided than ever. Music has the unique ability to bridge gaps, create shared experiences, and bring people together. If you find yourself walking down the fine arts hallway in the coming weeks, feel free to grab a pen or marker and write #whyyousing as well.
