Katie - Year 9

Katie recently competed at the Regional Trampoline Team Qualifiers scoring 52.5 points putting her in overall second place, narrowly missing out on first place by just 0.25 points.

Celebration of CTS Artists

We are celebrating the amazing Art work of our students. The department has become a vibrant and colourful place over the last few months and is now full of wonderful pieces of work.

Founders 4 Schools

Our Year 11 students took part in a motivational session with Founders 4 Schools, leaders in industry who discussed next steps with the students.

Stars of the Week:

Mrs Morgan has nominated Ewan 10C for excellent drawing work in Art.
The Science department have nominated the Year 11 Biology students for their hard work during the conference held at CBA this week.
Mr Gourlay has nominated Aidan 11S who has shown superb commitment in his recent Computer Science lessons, allowing him to improve his knowledge and understanding ahead of the all important exam. Also nominated is Sonny 8S who has shown a brilliant understanding of searching and sorting algorithms in Computer Science and Bethany in 7TE for her brilliant commitment in Computer Science lessons.
Mr Finan has nominated Marius 11C and Tomasz 11S for their fantastic efforts in Science.
Miss Fenner has nominated Year 11 English students for their effort, progress and attitude.
Mrs Fern has nominated her Year 9 Mathematicians for their hard work this term and wishes them good luck in their assessment.
Mrs Smith would like to thank Aidan 11S, Courtney, 10T, Musa 10C and Tamiska 8T for their support this week with student panel.

Attendance Matters

Every single day a student is absent from school equates to a day lost of learning. At Corby Technical School we pride ourselves in maintaining excellent attendance. Our target is to achieve and maintain a whole school attendance of above 96.5%. We will be giving you weekly updates on our whole school attendance, the tutor group and house who achieved the highest attendance this week.

Well done 9C who are this week's best tutor group with 98.33% attendance.

House Winner

C house are the winners again this week with 96.49%, well done to all students in Cayley and Coleman on another great week.

Reminders:

ALL students must have a card to register themselves arriving and leaving school. This is also used to purchase meals in school. If your child arrives at school without a card, they will not be able to access the building until 8.30am. Replacement cards can be purchased for £5 from student reception.
