Coins for Coach π
May 13-17
Our student council has been working with our interim counselor, Ms. Fowler, to come up with an idea to help our former PE teacher and BMS teacher/coach Brandon Allen. Coach Allen is on the kidney transplant list and is currently receiving daily dialysis. Our student council wanted to do something special for this family and decided on a coin collection. This week, there will be containers set up by the fireplace to collect any coins or money you may want to send in. Thanks for always being so supportive and thanks to Ms. Fowler and our student council for heading this up!
Books on Breakππ
This week: Books on Break! This is a program that gives elementary students books to add to their home library. The books are new, high-interest and completely FREE! Students do not need to return them--ever! Each student will be coming home with 10 new books that he or she selected. It is our hope that this will keep them reading all summer long! Also, information on summer reading at the library will be included in each bag of books! See the attached letter from Books on Break;
Lost Brooch/ Pin
This beautiful pin/brooch was found in the floor at school last week. Not sure if it was from our Spring Fling, or a program we had, but it is too pretty not to post. Please let us know in the office if this Bethel blue beauty is yours!
Art Showπ¨
May 14-16
Mrs. Ottinger has worked extremely hard collecting our finest pieces of BES artwork from your children! I have been so impressed with their artistic abilities! Your child will receive a letter if one of their pieces are in the art show. It truly is something to see if you have never been. Thanks Mrs. Ottinger for all your hard work on the art show!!
