Get a jump start on next school year, by completing registration documents for the next school year through Home Access Center. Learn more here. All forms must be completed by April 9, 2024.
Killeen ISD offers free, full-day Pre-K programs for children ages 3-5 years old.
To learn more about Pre-K and Kindergarten programs in KISD and to enroll your child, attend an Orientation at any elementary campus May 9, 2024, from 8:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. For eligibility requirements and required documentation, please visit www.killeenisd.org/enroll_ec.
PreK for 3-year-olds is available at the following campuses for families that live on Fort Cavazos:

- Meadows Elementary
- Montague Village Elementary

Board of Trustees Scholarships due April 5, 2024!
The April Character Trait word is Perseverance. School counselors and social emotional learning Specialists will provide Character Education lessons on Perseverance. They will also support campuses with social emotional learning lessons on growth mindset, patience, and goal setting.

Sports are cruising along this spring. Basketball season concluded with the Ellison boys advancing to the Class 5A state final, the Chaparral and Shoemaker boys and the Ellison girls qualified for the soccer playoffs, baseball and softball teams are fighting for district position, and the track and field and golf and tennis seasons are sprinting toward the postseason.
Middle School
The middle school district track and field meet is April 1-2 at Searles Stadium where two days later, Chaparral, Ellison, Killeen and Shoemaker begin the two-day District 22-5A track and field meet. Harker Heights will be at the District 12-6A meet at Waco Midway’s Panther Stadium on the same days, April 3-4.

Get Ready for Kickoff: Three Soccer Teams Set to Open Playoffs
A season that started in December continues for three Killeen ISD soccer teams when the first round of the UIL State playoffs kick off Monday and Tuesday. The Ellison Lady Eagles, Shoemaker Grey Wolves and Chaparral Bobcats survived the long-haul through District 22-5A using armor reinforced with camaraderie, chemistry and skill, and were rewarded with postseason spots.
