Dear Alta Mesa Families,

It was so wonderful to see so many families attend Game night for our first family event of the year. Here are the activities that are happening this week at Alta Mesa:

• The final K-5 Cross Country meet is at Boulder Creek on Thursday, October 10th.
• 4/5 soccer tryout permission slips will be in the office start Monday, Oct 7th and are due back Friday, Oct 11th. Tryouts will be Oct 15th and 16th.
• There is an Alta Mesa Booster Club meeting on Wednesday, October 9th from 6-7 in the library. Come be a part of the upcoming events the Booster Club is bringing to our campus.
• The Alta Mesa Booster Club is hosting our annual Fall Carnival on October 25 from 5-7. Each classroom is collecting candy. The class with the most candy donations will get a class ice cream party. Please see flyer below for more information.
• Friday is Fall Picture Makeup Day! We are in need of one or two parent volunteers, if you are available please email Kaylene at kelliott@eesd.net
  
• This week Alta Mesa will be getting a new digital reader board in the front of the school. There will be some construction with this project that could bring parking lot issues. Please allow for some extra time. Thank you!
• Just a friendly reminder to take your time when entering our parking lots and watch your speed on the neighborhood roads. We appreciate you helping in keeping our staff and students safe. One last thing, if your child has a birthday, please have your child bring their birthday invitations to their teacher to hand out. Thank you for your support in this!

All Riffle Raffle tickets are due! Please make sure all your tickets are returned, sold and unsold. The office staff will be working on making calls this week to collect all the tickets that were not returned.

For the month of October, we will focus on Habit #2: Begin with the End in Mind. More information to come on this habit next week.

Booster Club will be meeting this Wednesday at 6:00PM in the library. They will be discussing upcoming events, such as the fall carnival. Come see how you could help support Alta Mesa!

Friday, October 11th is Fall Picture Retake Day. Please make sure you connect with your teacher if your student needs to have their picture retaken. Our teachers will have a list of students who were absent during the original fall pictures but will not know if students need their picture retaken for any other reason so please connect with them!

Alta Mesa's Fall Carnival, hosted by Booster Club, is back and we are so excited! Mark it down on your calendars, Friday October 25th from 5:00-7:00.
