Join us in the Health Moves Minds Event
In just a month, Sprague School students will be invited to participate in the “Health Moves Minds Fundraiser.” We encourage students to participate in this fundraiser, which benefits health and physical education programs focusing on wellness and mental health. Also, this year, a portion of our proceeds will go to our school to help replenish recess equipment, which all students at Sprague can enjoy.
During the day on Friday, May 23, students will participate in school activities. Sprague students will take part in physical and mental health activities and games to celebrate our fundraising efforts. The event is designed to educate our students and staff on the importance of overall wellness and mental health, with further education occurring in physical education classes at school. Through this program, we can inspire healthy habits and teach kids to thrive physically and emotionally.
Please support the Health Moves Minds Event by signing up through the Booster link. Sprague will NOT accept cash or check donations for this event so please donate online. Although there is no obligation to donate, please consider encouraging your child to ask friends, trusted neighbors, and relatives to contribute to this worthy cause.
The Sprague incentive document has all the information regarding the student incentives for this event. Students can earn additional prizes through Booster. Check out the prizes on the Booster flyer.
Online donations must be submitted by 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 19, in order to be considered for the incentives.
Donations are due prior to the event so that we can disperse any prizes before the end of the school year.
Across the country, today’s children and adolescents do not get enough physical activity and are struggling with anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. Understanding these challenges, promoting an active school environment, and teaching children how to cope with stress, be kind, and be respectful of one another can make all the difference.
Thank you in advance for supporting this worthy cause. Our hope is to create a meaningful experience for your child to learn about the importance of wellness and mental health.
Sincerely,
Mr. John Solis and Mr. John L’Heureux
