Upcoming Dates
- i-Ready Diagnostic:
- Diagnostic 2 has been pushed to March. It will be used as a baseline of where our students are after reopening
- Diagnostic 3 will still be conducted in May to provide data for planning and to assess growth from Diagnostic 2.
- The Assessment Calendar has been updated to reflect the new windows
- Secondary Grades:The Report Card Procedures and Processing Schedule has been updated due to the changes at the beginning of this semester. Please see dates and the full reporting schedule below.
- Extended Current Fall Semester Final Grading Window Dates (4th Marking Period)
- Wednesday 1/29 - Last Day Expected for Teachers to Complete Grade Entries
- Thursday 1/30 - Grade Corrections Date (Teacher Portal Entry Disabled at Midnight)
- Friday 1/31 - Report Card Deadline (Digital Report Cards available through Parent Portal)

- Elementary Grades: There have been no changes made to the Elementary Report Card Schedule
- Tuesday 2/11 - Grading Window Opens
- Monday 3/3 - Grading Window Closes
- Promethean Board Rollout: Schools will begin receiving Promethean Boards over the next couple of months. Please be on the lookout for communications regarding when the Boards will be installed at your school site along with resources for implementation.
ITS/EdTech Updates
Student Chromebooks
Replacement Chromebooks for students who lost devices due to the Eaton Fire have been ordered. If you have a student who has a lost/damaged PUSD Chromebook due to the Eaton Fire, please let your school site Chromebook contact know. We will be delivering devices to campuses for check out in the near future. Thank you for your patience.
Staff Devices
If any staff members lost devices due to the fire, please contact Help Desk (626-396-3699) to request a replacement. We are preparing devices that we have on hand for check out. Please note that only Dell devices are available.
Free Access to Apps & Resources
Due to our recent tragic events, a number of companies have offered free access or additional resources for PUSD educators. Please see information below and reach out to edtech@pusd.us with any questions.
- Newsela - free access for the rest of the school year.
- Paper's Achieve 365 initiative offers educators a month's worth of ready-to-use personalized support assignments, along with specific examples of how to effectively use our new teacher assign tools.
- Character Strong is giving PUSD staff access to their SEL program.

- Nearpod has provided all teachers with Premium Plus access for the remainder of this school year. To access Nearpod, please click on the link in Clever and then Sign in with Google.
Disaster Related Phishing Scams
Due to the high profile of PUSD in the news, many sites are being targeted for Phishing scams. Please be vigilant and do not click on links within emails unless they seem legitimate and are from a trusted source. If you have any doubt, please reach out to the PUSD Help Desk (626-396-3699 or gopusd.com/helpdesk).
Multiple law enforcement officials are warning of bad actors scheming to take advantage of people who are victims or who want to be charitable towards victims of fires.
Scams include:
- False Job Solicitation Scams
- Fake City, County, or Federal Employees
- Phone and Text Message Scams
- Unsolicited In-Person Solicitations
- Gift Card or Payment Scams
- Fraudulent Donations
