Staying on Top of the Academics❗
As your child’s teachers, we’re currently working with all grades to review their Fall STAR testing data and 2024 PSSA scores. Together, we’re setting individual goals for their next STAR test this winter and discussing strategies to help them achieve these goals.
We believe in our students' potential and want them to participate actively in their preparation. Some key strategies we’re sharing with them include:
Taking WIN math and reading lessons seriously each morning.
Engaging fully with Lexia practice, both in school and at home.
Reading for 20 minutes each night (feel free to borrow books from teachers!).
Putting electronics away (in a different room) at night for better sleep.
Arriving at school on time
Setting alarms on the other side of the room for easier wake-ups.
Practicing multiplication facts using a website their math teacher will post on Schoology.
Staying focused and alert during class.
We encourage you to reinforce these strategies at home and remind your child of the goals they’ve set for improving their scores by mid-year. Your support plays a crucial role in their success, and together, we can help them reach their full potential. We’re just beginning this process and expect to wrap up goal-setting by the end of next week. Thank you for partnering with us in your child’s education!
