Hello Coyote Families!
We are excited to offer a way to give back to Cypress Creek Middle School! Soon, we will kick off an event to help raise funds that will benefit all our students and staff. This program will help with funding for important items and services that are not currently funded at this time.
Here are a few things to note about our upcoming program:
- This program will be extremely easy for you. It only requires about 10 minutes of your time.
- Your students can earn great rewards just for their effort. No money is needed!
- This is an online, donation-based fundraiser, and the email and text message donation requests can go to people you know anywhere in the world.
Students will bring home more information after our Launch Party presentation next week. Please help your student register and complete the Golden Ticket assignment that very night! All students who complete the Golden Ticket assignment will receive fun PRIZES. We will also have an awesome Week of WOW drawings, including Gift Cards and prizes. Families that enter at least 10 or more contacts will be entered to win the national Disney World Family Vacation giveaway!

Freedom Week
Florida Statutes designates the month of September as American Founders’ Month and recognizes the last full week of classes in September in public schools as Celebrate Freedom Week. Celebrate Freedom Week encourages instruction on the intent, meaning and importance of the Declaration of Independence.
At the beginning of each school day during Celebrate Freedom Week, public school principals and teachers shall conduct an oral recitation by students of the following words from the Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.” Additionally, we will have dress up themed days September 23rd - September 27th. SGA Announcement
SGA elections were held today, Friday, 9/13 during History/Civics classes. Students who were absent can still vote using the grade level link provided. The election will stay open until Sunday, 9/15 at 11:00 PM. Students will be directed to log into their MyPasco account to access the election ballot. The results of the election will be announced at the end of the day on Monday, 9/16.

FREE Weekly NJHS Tutoring
Football vs Rushe Rescheduled!
This past Wednesday's football game versus Rush was washed out. The game has been reschedule for October 16th at the Cypress Creek High School stadium with a 6:30 PM kickoff time.
Science Instructional Materials Adoption
The Pasco County School District is participating in a full-scale K-12 adoption of Science instructional materials aligned to the Florida’s State Academic Standards for Science. We would like to invite you to be part of the narrowing team, which serves to review and narrow the materials submitted by publishers during the adoption process. To submit your interest for an opportunity to serve on the narrowing team, please complete this form. There is an 8-10 evening commitment for this work. A detailed list of courses to be reviewed, dates, and times of narrowing team commitments are available on the instructional materials adoption website. The deadline to submit your interest is September 20, 2024. Parents/guardians selected through the randomized screening process will be notified by October 7 via email. We appreciate your partnership in this very important work.

Student ID Badges
The use of badges will be used to enter and exit the bus will expedite the loading and unloading of buses at school and at bus stops. While students that forget their badges may use the keypad, it does slow the process of entering and exiting the bus. Any student in Pasco County Schools may now download a virtual badge to their phone, further instructions are attached below.
Specifically, secondary schools will print badges upon request by the student, including replacement badges. This means that not every secondary student will have a badge.

It is important to complete these items. Otherwise, most incomplete consents will be viewed as permission granted by the parent or guardian.
