2024 Terry Fox Run at NES
A huge thank you to the students and families for their amazing fundraising efforts for the Terry Fox Run. As a school, we raised a total of $1292. Thank you to the parents who volunteered their time to make this year's event safe and enjoyable for all. We didn't quite meet our fundraising goal so Mrs. Beaudin has been spared from eating bugs....for now.

Niverville Fire Hall Open House
Niverville Fire & Emergency Services would like to invite everyone to attend our open house on October 6th from 2-4 pm at the fire hall in Niverville. We would like to kick start Fire Prevention Week October 6-12th this year with an afternoon event at the hall. We will have our trucks on display and have several activities for families to see. Coffee and donuts will be available and if you wish we will be collecting food for Niverville Helping Hands that afternoon too. Our members are on site to answer any questions about fire safety and Sparky will be there too.
Also we will be visiting the school during fire prevention week to talk to the kids about fire safety and our theme this year is Smoke Alarms: Make them work for you! NES will be sending home information about our contests and information regarding smoke alarms and home escape plans.
Any questions can be directed to firechief@whereyoubelong.ca

PARENT PORTAL/STUDENT INFORMATION
The HSD Parent Portal is a communication tool designed to enhance and increase parent/guardian involvement in the education of their children by providing secure online access to their child's student information. With a single username and password, you can access data for each of your children attending an HSD school. The Access IDs along with setup instructions have been sent via email to all eligible parents/guardians of new students. If you are new to NES and did not receive the specified email, please contact the school office at 204-388-4861.
Please take a few minutes to review the student information and contact information for your child. It is important that the school has current address and contact information for your child in case it is necessary to reach someone during the school day. Changes can be made through the parent portal.
