Education Foundation Elegant Evening
April 25th, 2025
Save the date! The Camdenton R-III Education Foundation is pleased to announce that the Elegant Evening will be held on Friday, April 25th, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Plans are already underway in preparation for a wonderful evening of delicious food and excellent entertainment from the Camdenton R-III students. This fun-filled evening is the sole fundraiser of the Education Foundation, which provides scholarships to students and faculty as well as grants for classroom improvements.
Elegant Evening is a night that honors the accomplishments of community leaders, former educators, and Camdenton alumni. Those well-deserved recipients who will be inducted into the Hall of Leaders will soon be announced.
The board is always looking for patrons to assist with our mission of supporting the school district, may it be by serving on the Foundation Board or by monetary donations. If you are interested in helping, please email the foundation at edufoundation@camdentonschools.org or call (573) 346-9213.
The Camdenton R-III School District Education Foundation’s mission is to generate and manage resources to enhance learning opportunities for students and staff in our school district.

School Board Appreciation Week

The Board of Education for the Camdenton R-III School District will be recognized at the regular school board meeting on Monday, March 3rd, starting at 5:00 p.m. at the district administration building.

Laker Theater Company Presents "All My Sons"
Competition Showcase
The Laker Theatre Company presents a Competition Showcase on Friday, February 28th, and Saturday, March 1st, at 7 pm in the Camdenton High School R.C. Worthan Auditorium. Performances will feature a one-act play version of Arthur Miller's All My Sons, and a readers theatre piece (title to be announced). Both pieces will be performed in preparation for the MSHSAA competition. Please be advised: these performances are not for children; mature subject matter includes a character taking their own life. Seating is general admission by donation; no advance reservations. Doors will open at 6:30 pm.

All-District and All-State Honor Band
Eighteen students represent Camdenton High School in the All-District Honor Band this year! The All-District band performed at Waynesville High School on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024.

All-District, All-State, National Honor Choir
Every year, Camdenton has the most talented choir students audition for district, state, or national honor choirs. Choir students auditioned for an opportunity to be in the Southwest American Choral Directors All-District Honor Choir (top 25) and All-District Concert Choir (top 50) at the School of the Osage on September 21st. Camdenton had a record 51 students make the All-District Honor Choir and All-District Concert Choir. Those chosen for District Choirs performed at Waynesville High School on October 29th and auditioned for All-State Choir. Camdenton also had a record of 11 students who made All-State Choir. In addition, the choir program had eight students make the All-National Honor Choir through the American Choral Directors Association: Bryce Bruck (CMS), Donovan Ellis, Zoe Funke, Sami Libby, Andrew Ruff, Drake Schiefelbein, Emilee Stewart, and Grant Trandum. They will travel to Dallas, TX, to participate in the national honor choirs from March 18 to March 22, 2025.

FIRST LASER 3284 Robotics
The Camdenton LASER (Lake Area Science Engineering & Robotics) team 3284 competed at the Cow Town ThrowDown Robotics Competition in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, October 18th - 19th. There were 42 teams from five different states competing.
LASER ended the qualification matches in first place with a record of 8-0 in the elimination rounds and ended the competition in first place with an overall high score for the competition at 130 points. They ended as the competition champions with an overall record of 14-1!
JROTC Raiders Lead the Way!
Camdenton JROTC attended Raider Nationals 2024 and left with some outstanding achievements! The mixed team in the Challenge Division secured 1st place in the 5K run, while the all-service male team earned 2nd place overall in the nation!

• 4th Place: One Rope Bridge
• 4th Place: Cross Country Litter Run
The Ultimate Buddy Run kicked off with an 800-meter uphill sprint leading into a 14-event obstacle course. The second leg involved a challenging 2-mile run, complete with a 25-meter swim midway. The entire event was completed in uniform and boots. Cadet Jesus Garcia-Ortiz and Cadet Samuel Snyder finished strong, placing 2nd in this rigorous competition!
