At Thursday nights District Board Meeting, the Board recognized the 2024 Classified , Teacher and Volunteers of the Year. Pomerado's Volunteer of the Year was also selected as the District Volunteer of the Year! Suzette is our PAWs President this year and we were honored to celebrate this moment with her and her family.

Volunteer paperwork needs to be done every year, it can be downloaded on the PUSD Website or packets are available the office. Appropriate paperwork needs to be completed/ renewed every school year.

Classroom Parent and/or Regular Ongoing Volunteer: this is a frequent volunteer on campus throughout the school year. Requires parent to complete Level 1 packet including current TB test and valid photo identification for background check.

 Field trip chaperone- requires the parent to complete both Level 1 and the Level 2 (CA Dept. of Justice & FBI fingerprint clearance) packet. Volunteer will need to go to the district office for fingerprinting instructions (cost is $20, please let office know if there is financial hardship).

Again, if you don’t plan to be on campus on a regular and ongoing basis you can participate in class events (not including field trips) as a visitor.

Please see the attached flyer, with information regarding the upcoming No Cost TB clinic, hosted by Design39Campus on Friday, September 20th.

Parent/Guardian volunteers in need of a TB Assessment are invited to attend this no cost event.

As a Title I school, we have a Title I Family Engagement Policy which we revise each year. Please take a few minutes to review our school’s current Title I Family Engagement Policy (Spanish Version) and provide your input on how we may revise the policy to best meet the needs of our Wildcat families. Please share your input by completing this short survey.

We are full of Wildcat pride at Pomerado and want to show it! Each Monday we wear our Pomerado school shirts and each Friday we wear our college shirts. If your student does not have a Pomerado school shirt, you can email our PAWs team at pomeradopaws@gmail.com to purchase one. PAWs will also be selling them at BINGO night.

Your child's teacher is collecting sizes for their class college shirt. We are asking for a $10 donation for the college t-shirts if you are able. Cash, checks or Paypal are accepted. Checks should be made out to Pomerado Elementary School Foundation.

If you are unable to donate, please reach out to PAWs so they can ensure every child gets a college shirt to show their Wildcat spirit.

Celebrate your child's birthday with a book donation to our school library! If you would like to participate in our Birthday Book Club, please click here for more information. When your child participates in our Birthday Book Club, a special Birthday Book Club book plate with their name will be placed in the book they have donated.

Of course, our library is ALWAYS happy to receive books from our Amazon Wish List, even if it's not in honor of a birthday!

Family Bingo Night this Friday Sept, 20th from 5:30-7pm

Join PAWs and your Wildcat friends for Family Bingo Night this Friday in the MPR from 5:30-7pm. We will have a guest Bingo caller who will lead you through multiple rounds of the classic game. There will be plenty of opportunities to win! Pizza, snacks and refreshments will be sold. If possible, please bring a ream of white paper to donate to our classrooms!

Birthday Banner

Are you looking for a way to make your child's birthday super special? PAWs is offering a custom birthday banner that will be on display at school for a week. The banner will have an 8.5x14 card created with your child's name, favorite colors and interests. The suggested donation is $25. Space is limited to four birthdays a week. Sign up here!
