Hello Mackeben Families,

Attendance Incentives!!!!

Congratulations to 1st grade, they are the first grade level to reach their goal of having 95% attendance during the 1st trimester. All students, in 1st Grade, will be able to participate in a shining bright dance party on the afternoon of Friday, November 8th.

To continue to promote attendance, we'll be having a special raffle for students who are in attendance on Monday, November 4th. You must be PRESENT to win!!!!

Thank you families for continuing to support positive attendance at school. When you child is here, they are learning!!!!

SHOW UP AND SHINE - PRESENCE IN YOUR POWER!!!

Vacation - is an unexcused absence.
Unverified - is when we do not get a call on the absence line, or no reason is given for the absence, that is also an unexcused absence.
Sick - Medically verified if over three days absence with a doctors note, sent home by the nurse, or ill for up to three days, which are all excused absences.
Dr. Appointment - if a child is gone for the entire day and doctor verification is provided to the office is an excused absence.
Bereavement - family observance is an excused absence.

Shining Bright - Staff Star of the Week!!!!

Ms. Kelly O'Donnell

Please welcome our new Administrative Assistant, Ms. O'Donnell

We are very excited to have Ms. O'Donnell join our team. She has extensive experience as an administrative assistant as well as with young children.

She fits right in to our silly, fun and caring office team. She's still learning the Huntley 158 & Mackeben procedures, so please be patient with any questions or concerns.

When she is not being a rock star secretary, she is chauffeur mom for her three children to all their sports and theater activities.
