Final Call for Caregiver Input for 2024-2025 Sectioning

When planning for a successful upcoming school year, our staff considers and balances many factors including:

Individual learning profile/style
Student Combination
Support service needs
Social/Emotional needs
Gender balance
Class size
Academic characteristics
Chronological age

If you would like to share information or specific needs that may help in the sectioning process, please use the form below to provide input. The form has has additional explanations and guidance for caregiver feedback, so please be mindful of them should you choose to provide input.

Open: 2024-2025 Returning Student Registration

Registration for the 2024-2025 opened on April 15. This is for all students of Avoca -- not just new students! If you haven't received the registration email or have any questions, please email registration@avoca37.org. Each returning student will receive a separate email containing an embedded "snapcode" which is unique to that student. Please complete registration by May 30, 2024.

Moving out of District? If your student will not be attending an Avoca school next year, please let our awoffice@avoca37.org know. That will help make sure we don't send reminder emails!

Proof of Residency for Incoming Kindergarten & 3rd Graders

As you are registering your incoming 3rd grader, please be aware that all families are required to submit 3 proof of residency documents (see chart below) before enrollment is complete. Please also complete the attached Residency Verification Form. You can scan the documents to zigmondd@avoca37.org or you can drop the documents off in the office!

If you have an incoming 6th grader, please residency information

*Due before registration for Kindergarten, 3rd grade, and 6th-grade students only*

Please refer to Avoca School District 37 Board of Education Policy 7:60 regarding residency. In addition to any new student registering to attend Avoca schools, all students entering Kindergarten, 3rd and 6th Grades must provide the district with three (3) proofs of residency within the district boundaries along with the completion of the Residency Verification Form no later than May 24. You must present proof of residency with the Avoca School District 37 by providing one document from Category I AND two documents from Category II.
