TONIGHT! Battle of the Bands
The Masconomet Battle of the Bands is this Friday at 7pm, in the Middle School Auditorium! Many students are performing and it looks like it’s going to be a really good time. We have several bands competing and at the end of the night, a panel of judges will crown a winner! The event is free and will probably run between 1-2 hours. Snacks are available for purchase as well.
Women's History Month
Congratulations Dr. Fay!
In celebration of Women's History Month, Masco recognizes Science Department Head, Tammy Fay, who earned her Doctorate of Education Schooling Leadership - STEM Focus
from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.

African Drumming Workshop
Thanks to an MEF grant, last Friday, Greg Coles of Greg Coles Dance and Drum, taught a special workshop on African Drumming to our Spanish/French 4 classes.
They learned how West African rhythms influence Latin music. It was a great experience for all.
Latin Dance
The Spanish V classes participated in Latin dance lessons Monday. These photos are of period 5 Spanish VAP & Spanish V Honors.
Model UN at Clark University
Congratulations to all who participated in the ClarkMUN conference this weekend! Check out the newsletter for a recap (with more photos here).

Blood Drive
Student Council and the Red Cross came together to host a Blood Drive at Masco today.
About 50 staff and upper-house students participated.
Junior Prom Tickets
Junior Prom tickets will be sold during lunch starting April 1st, and ending on April 10th. Tickets are $85 for the event, which will be held May 10th at Black Swan Country Club from 6:00 – 10:00 PM. Payments should be made via check, made out to “Masconomet Regional High School” with the student’s name in the memo. Students who are interested in taking a guest that is NOT a Junior at Masco, should look to complete guest form that will be available at front office. Hope to see you there!
Juniors, (who have previously registered), will participate in a school-day digital SAT administration in the Field House at Masco on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Students will be given a Masco-issued Chromebook on the morning of testing. Check your email for details and contact Andrea Delafano at adelafano@masconomet.org with questions.
The new episode of Morning Update is live on mascomedia.org.
We’ve also got a fun trivia question at the end for you to respond to, and new Disney movie matchups in the Sweet 16 round of our Media March Madness competition!

American Rocketry Challenge
Join us for Masco’s pivotal moment in the TARC competition this Monday, April 1, at 3pm in the Masco HS parking lot. Our exact position will be determined by the wind- just look out for a bunch of students carrying rockets and metal launchers.
Our team has tirelessly prepared since September, enduring diverse weather challenges and applying lessons from each launch to improve. Their journey, a blend of innovation, perseverance, and collaboration with the math and engineering departments, has prepared them to shine at the national level.
A victory here means competing against the country's best in the nationals—a testament to our students' dedication and skill. We're also grateful to host professional rocketry judges who will be validating our data for the nationals.
I realize that Monday afternoon is not the best time to invite people to witness rocket launches, but if you have a moment, I ask everyone who can to rally in support of our students, celebrating their hard work and the community backing them. Your presence will greatly encourage our team.
Thank you for your continued support.
