Community Commitment Data - Ignoring Distractions and no Eruptions
Mustangs continue to work on Ignoring Distractions and no Eruptions (during direct instruction) this week.
Data was collected by Mr. Lynch's secret detectives and two classes earned extra recess:
Ms. Donley's class and Ms. Cable's class!
Three classes have some work to do and have a class goal for this week and a second chance.
Mr. Lynch's secret detectives will continue to collect data and let Mr. Lynch know how classes are doing this week.
Parents you can help:
Ask you children if they can explain an eruption, and what direct instruction is. Also ask them to explain why quiet is important for our brains.
Magnificent Mustangs
Torian (not pictured) and Kamerin consistently set an example of what a good listener looks like in his classroom -no matter what's going on around them. They are quiet and looking at the teacher--a perfect example of someone ready to learn! That helps their classmates not become distracted and helps everyone learn! They make our school a better place to be because you're here!!!!
Logan helps keep our playground clean!
Allan shows integrity and responsibility. Allan consistently does the right thing when nobody is watching. As an example, Allan picked up trash at the end of the day that was not his. He helped keep the classroom clean and safe.
John was kind to a student who was injured. Another student was injured on the playground and he was kind to them and helped them up and then played with them to make sure they were okay.
Carson helped another student get down from the equipment safely. Another student was unable to get off the equipment and Carson talked the student through how to get down safely and made her feel safe. This was very helpful to the student and the teachers on the playground.

Order Fall Portraits
Square 1 Art
Dear MES Families,
Once again, the Art Room is doing a Square One Art fundraiser for art supplies and equipment. We have just received 4 big, mobile display boards for showing off our student talent because of the funds we have raised, plus multiple art class materials!
Most of all, this is a chance to showcase your child’s creativity and give those gifts to family and friends, like coffee cups, towels, pencil holders, tote bags and more.
I will be sending all the artwork to Square One this Friday and should receive the order forms around November 13. I will then send these forms with their free stickers home, and you will have until November 22 to order ONLINE (this has really made the ordering process so much easier).
Did your child miss the submission deadline? - or what if you don’t care for the submitted piece? - or would you like to add more artwork from other family members?? You can easily upload artwork using this link https://shop.square1art.com/Shop/upload?rkc=117870 . Just remember to use paper that is 8.5 x 8 and use bright colors! Uploaded pieces will not receive free stickers.
Thanks for your support!! Mrs. Patton and Mrs. Meyers

Picture Retake Information
Parents of students participating on Retake Day November 14th should be aware of the following:
If a student was absent on the initial picture day, their name will appear on the unphotographed list so that we are aware that they need to have their picture taken for the yearbook.
If a parent has expressed interest in having their child’s picture retaken, this can also be done on retake day. The student should bring the original photo package, including the original envelope and all picture products, to turn into the photographer when they come to sit for a new picture. They do not need to fill out a new order form.
