Mrs. Soares, our school social worker has established a clothes closet at both Melrose and Lawn Schools. It is stocked with gently used age appropriate clothing from out of district. Items include some coats, snow boots, pants, shorts, leggings, sweatshirts, sweaters and sneakers.

Not all sizes are available however there are many options.

If you have a child in need, feel free to reach out to Mrs. Soares for a confidential conversation to see if she can be of assistance.

Cold and flu season is here and we are seeing the usual uptick in viruses circulating.

Practicing healthy habits at home such as washing hands before eating, covering coughs, and not sharing food or drinks will help to reinforce these habits in school and keep our community healthy.

Handwashing is best, but there are also hand sanitizers throughout the school and on cafeteria walls that students may choose to use. Small sanitizers in their snack/lunch box are also useful.

Welcome to the Jamestown PTO! The purpose of the PTO is to enhance and support the education experience at Melrose School and Lawn School, to develop a closer connection between school and home by encouraging parental involvement, and to improve the environment for students by cooperating with the Jamestown Schools to support the improvement of education through volunteer and financial support. 2024-25 PTO Information

All boys and girls, K thru 12th, are invited to join Cub Scouts or Scouts BSA. Scouts enjoy the flexibility of making friends, camping, and hiking, plus learning about first-aid, knots, and community citizenship.
