Happy Friday,
We continue to work hard each and every day even with only a few weeks left. We do have a lot of fun things planned this month. Please make sure to read your classroom teachers emails to stay up to date.
THANK YOU PTO and parents for making our week last week SO SPECIAL. All of the treats, prizes and gifts were so appreciated. Thank you for going above and beyond to make us all feel special.
I hope you have a great weekend.
Sincerely,

CGE End of Year Fun Day
CGE Year End Fun Day
This year there is something new at CGE in place of field day. Students will be participating in a Year End Fun Day provided by the specialists on June 3rd during their specialist time. Students will be outside for an hour participating in fun activities and celebrating the end of the year. Students will need to be wearing tennis shoes. No water bottles are necessary.
In addition we have our first ever Discovery Day on 5/23 or 5/24. All classroom teachers and other staff have each planned a fun activity to lead. These activities range from art projects to Bingo to gym games. Students will choose 2 activities to join and spend the morning or afternoon participating in their chosen events.

Birthday Treats
It has been a common practice to provide treats for the class in honor of a child’s birthday; however we are asking that NO EDIBLE TREATS be sent in to celebrate birthdays. We will make your child’s birthday special in the classroom without edible treats.
If you would like to send a little something to honor their day please consider an alternative birthday treat such as pencils or a book donated to the classroom. We ask that no edible treats be sent in due to varying allergy conditions and other issues related to edible treats in the classroom. Thank you for your help with following this new practice of celebrating birthdays in the classroom.
