Happy Friday Maple Grove Community!

I wanted to share out our weekly newsletter a little early so you are prepared for this next week. We are eagerly counting down the days to winter break, but we still have a lot of learning ahead of us next week, so be sure to get your children here every day so they can learn, have fun, and enjoy each other's company before the break!

Our next Hy Vee Receipt competition is under way.

We'll be collecting receipts from now until January 10 to see who our NEXT big winners are! This time, it's a battle of the grade levels! Whichever grade brings in the MOST total receipts will earn a very special grade level celebration! More details coming soon!

School Singalong This Week (12/20 @ 2:30)

On Friday, we'll be holding our first ever winter school wide singalong here at Maple Grove. This is a student/staff only event, however we will be live streaming the event on our school Facebook page so families can join in on the fun at home. Winter Parties (12/20):

We will have our school winter Parties on Friday, 12/20 after the Singalong. If you have any questions or concerns about the parties, please reach out to your child's teacher for more information. We are excited to celebrate the last part of our week with students before we head into the break!

We start our school wide dress up days this week, and we are eager to see what our Grizzlies come dressed in. We know this is a busy (and somewhat stressful time of year), so if your child isn't able to participate, there are no hard feelings and certainly no obligation. This was chosen by 2 people. This time, I will not say who chose this, but I will say why they like it.

When Mrs. Thompson’s class was asked, they replied, “Because I love music.”

This was also picked by 2 people. Sadly, no one had answered why. But that is ok! Now it will be time for the Top 3!

This was also picked by 2 people. When this class was asked, they said, “Because I like difference.”

This was ALSO picked by 2 people. (Spoiler: Number 1 was not picked by 2 people.) This time, we have 2 responses! One of the responses is,”Because it helps me.” The other is, “Because it involves math, and I really like math.” Now, our Number 1 most favorite thing to do on computers is…
