Hello Fall
Fall is one of my favorite times of year. I love apple cider, trips to the farm, and jeans and sweater weather. I always take Fall Photos this time of year as well to use for Holiday Cards and to document how big my kids are getting. My youngest was hospitalized last Fall and we had a different photographer so our local one hadn't seen us in a couple of years. She was not only blown away by how big my girls are getting but also that my youngest, Sydney who has autism, was much more verbal and animated than in years past. It's sometimes hard to see how much our children are growing and maturing when we see them everyday but it's nice when someone outside of our bubble notices. Those comments are even more special when you are a parent of special needs child because often the daily struggles overshadow the progress that you child is making.
I just decorated my house for fall and tried a new craft project to make a photo collage pumpkin and I think it turned out pretty well.
Fall Fun
We had fun visiting Spirit Halloween to plan for the 31st but there are lots of great Fall activities happening in our area for kids this season.
October is National Children's Health Month
Vaccination Time
We had a Flu/Covid Vaccine Clinic at Cambridge on Friday 9/27 and a number of staff participated. Now is a great time to make sure you and your family are up to date on all of your vaccines including Flu/Covid. The CDC recommends getting Flu/COVID shots this season and it is safe to get them at the same time. I got both of mine on 9/27 and except for a little arm soreness didn't have any other side effects.
