Message from Principal Heard
Hello Trailblazers!
What an incredible first week of school! I want to thank our PTA for sponsoring the Principal Meet and Greet and for offering school tours on the first day of school. I plan to host additional Coffee with the Principal meetings throughout the year. Keep an eye out for a save the date invitation coming soon!
Here at The Ranch, we've spent the week getting to know our new teachers and meeting new friends. Your students have seen me around campus visiting their classrooms and walking around at recess and lunch. As I introduce myself to the students, I ask them to come over and say hello to me so that I can get to know them. I have nearly 700 new friends to meet and I am enjoying getting to know each of them.
We have a BIG week ahead of us with our APEX kick off assembly on Monday and Student Council applications and Back to School Night on Thursday. Read all about these events below!

Your very proud principal 😊
Back to School Night Schedule of Events
Back to School Night for Grades 2-5 is Thursday, August 29th. Please click here to view the Back to School Night Schedule. We ask that only parents/guardians attend the classroom presentations. We have coordinated with the Del Norte High School Ambassadors & Peer Counselors to supervise children if childcare is required. You may drop your child off at the Trailblazer center while you are attending your student's classroom presentation. A big thank you to our Nighthawk Ambassadors and Peer Counselors for their help!
TK, Kinder, and First Grade all celebrated a successful Back to School Night this week. We are grateful to our dedicated teachers for all they do to serve our students and community!

From Your PTA
Attention 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders! Debate club is starting up again, we are looking for hard-working students and (hopefully) some parent volunteers to continue this successful program.
We will host an informational night prior to the sign-up time. Sign-ups will begin virtually the day after the meeting accessible via this form. This meeting is especially important for first-timer debate club students.
The parent informational meeting is FRIDAY AUGUST 30th, 2024 from 6-7pm in the MPR. Your student is welcome and encouraged to join the meeting.
For more information on the club you can read here in our informational letter.
Counselor's Corner - From Ms. Nikki!
Welcome back to school! New student lunch groups begin on Monday, August 26th. Please read the flyer for grade-level information.
SRES Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures
Safety for our students is our number one priority at Stone Ranch. Please follow staff directions when entering and exiting the bus or staff parking loops. Parents, please pull ALL the way forward in the traffic circles. When you stop in the middle of the lane to let a child in the car, the line backs up into the street creating a safety hazard. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us to keep the drop off and pick up process smooth and safe!
As a reminder, there is plenty of parking at the lot near the Boys and Girls club and it is a short and hassle free walk to campus.
Student Council
Student Council Interest Meeting
Attention 4th and 5th grade students! If you are interested in running for Student Council this school year, please attend the informational meeting on Thursday, August 29th at 12:40 pm in room M211!
APEX
Our APEX school fundraiser starts on Monday, August 26th! We would love your help raising funds for field trips, events, clubs, teacher supply funds, school fairs, yearbooks, and field days. Team leaders from APEX will be on campus until our Fun Run event on Thursday, September 5th. Each day they will learn a leadership lesson and have an opportunity to earn fun prizes. We appreciate your support for our school community.
