The Wildcat Week Ahead
2/10-2/14
Dear Fantastic Families,
This past weekend, my family and I had the heartfelt experience of opening all the beautiful cards you sent our way. It truly brought tears of joy! We are currently in the process of writing thank you cards, but since not everyone included their names on the cards and gifts, I wanted to take a moment to express a massive thank you overflowing with love. Your kindness and generosity have touched our hearts deeply, and we feel incredibly loved. 💗
We have an exciting week ahead at school! Our winter concert is on Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:30 PM—please see the bus shuttle schedule below for details. Additionally, we'll have our first ski and ride trip on Wednesday, the Kindergarten QU wedding on Friday, and a CIUUSD board meeting on Tuesday at 6 PM. The link is provided below. The board meeting always begins with a chance for public input, so I invite you to attend if you have questions or would like to hear from others in our community.
I've updated the upcoming events below, and we hope our K-3 families will join us for a fun and interactive literacy night on the 19th! The family calendar has also been updated with all the vital details, including the upcoming 6th-grade school visits. You can view the family calendar below. I will be adding March in this week, so check back frequently!
For more information regarding the concert, ski trip, and recent articles about the future of education in Vermont, please see the details below.
With warm regards and gratitude,
Mrs. H

Heading to Bolton for Ski and Ride Days? Be Sure to Read This
Welcome to the ski and ride program for the 2025 season. If you are on this email you have signed up your child or are helping chaperone this year. Please read through as there is some important information and tasks to be completed before we get to the mountain. As you know we have 4 ski dates this year, Feb 12, March 5, 12 and 19. If your child is taking the bus we will be leaving the Grand Isle School at approximately 7:45 am on those dates, so please make sure your child gets to school on time to get on the bus. The bus will leave Bolton around 1:15 pm and will be back at school for your child's regular dismissal. If you are driving separately to the mountain please try and arrive by or before 9 am. The lift tickets are again 4 hour tickets, so once scanned at the lift you have 4 hours to ski. I will be handing out the lift tickets on the first day and they will stay in your child's possession for the remainder of the ski program so please make sure they bring them to each ski day. These passes can also be brought to Bolton on a single 5th day of your choosing for a free family ski day at any point after Feb 12. Your child's pass can get you up to 3 additional lift tickets by bringing it to ticket sales. This is a 4 hour lift ticket as well and only for immediate family members (siblings, parents, grandparents). It also gives these additional family members 30% off rental gear if they need it that day. It can be used on any day of the week at Bolton excluding holidays.
For each date I will be assigning chaperone groups and will have that information posted once we get to Bolton. I am not yet sure where Bolton will have us meeting to leave all of our belongings, but once they let me know I will send out another email with that information. If your child or you as a chaperone will not be able to attend on a certain date, please email me asap so I can adjust any groups as needed.
This year Bolton has requested all participants and chaperones fill out their enrollment form here and sign the waiver. Please make sure you fill out a separate response for each kid and chaperone.
The enrollment form will ask about needing a lift ticket and rental information. It will also ask about a buffet and lessons which you will answer NO to, as neither of these things are available during our time slot. This form needs to be filled out for each child participant and chaperones in order for their tickets to be generated for the program.
Additionally, Bolton has requested that both these videos be watched by all participants.
I know this is a lot of information and if you have any questions please reach out to me at any time.
Thanks,
Lindsay Lundquist
