Nurse's Corner
This is a reminder that all 6th grade students and new students are required to submit a State of Illinois physical and up to date immunization record to the health office by Tuesday October 15, 2024. On October 15th, 6th grade students without a physical or complete immunization record on file with the nurse’s office, will be called down from class and excluded from school and all activities associated with being a student at Hill Middle School until the documents are received. Please email or drop off the documentation to the health office as soon as possible to avoid exclusion.

Hispanic Heritage Month is Sept. 15- Oct.15
Hello Hill Families! We are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month between September 15 and October 15 in order to honor Latinos who have made a positive influence in our communities. This month is observed in multiple ways, such as parades, food fairs, and concerts. Many Mexican Americans are celebrating Mexican Independence Day this weekend, so there are many events to attend. Look up ways to join the fun. Take a picture of your family celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and send it to Ms. Thorne (jasmine_thorne@ipsd.org). It may be featured in our quarterly Blazers newsletter!

It is a time to remember the lives lost to suicide, acknowledge the millions more who have experienced suicidal thoughts, and the many individuals, families and communities that have been impacted by suicide. Author Visit for Sixth Grade Students on Sept. 23!
Hey Trailblazers! Did you know we have our very own MALL at Hill? That’s right…. Math Assistance Learning Lab. MALL for short. We are excited to offer the MALL on:
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:20-7:52. Meet at Door 4 (the 8th grade/athletic entrance) at 7:20 and we will walk you to the MALL in room 160. You will sign in when you arrive. Everyone is welcome! A math teacher will be there for support with homework, quiz and test study sessions and general math skill review.
