Fall 2024
Superintendent's Message
Dear El Rancho Community,
I am thrilled to share that we’ve had an outstanding start to the school year! Teachers across our schools are reporting great energy and enthusiasm, with students eager to learn and participate. It’s truly inspiring to see our campuses come alive with the joy of learning, and I am confident this will be a year full of accomplishments.
At El Rancho Unified, we remain deeply committed to academic excellence, and this year, we are placing a special focus on reading. Reading is the key to success in school and in life—it unlocks doors to knowledge and is the foundation for success in any profession. We ask that you help us with this initiative by encouraging your students to read every day. Your support at home makes a tremendous difference in nurturing a love for reading and ensuring our students are on a path to success.
Fall is an exciting time for our students and staff alike. It’s a season of growth and opportunity, when many great memories are made. Alongside this excitement, we are also looking forward to several upcoming construction projects that will make our campuses even better learning environments for our students. These improvements are part of our ongoing commitment to providing the best possible facilities for our students to learn, grow, and thrive.
Dr. Marco A. Villegas
Proud Superintendent of El Rancho Unified School District

El Rancho Adult School Grand Opening a Success!
We are thrilled to announce the success of our Adult School’s grand opening! The event brought together students, parents, and community members, marking the beginning of an exciting year full of growth and opportunities. As well, our dedicated counselors have teamed up to ensure that students receive the resources and support they need. Through informative assemblies, they are providing guidance on educational pathways and community services, helping students thrive in their personal and professional lives.
One of the most exciting highlights this year is the increase in enrollment for our ESL (English as a Second Language) and citizenship classes, particularly during the evening sessions. This reflects the growing demand for educational opportunities that accommodate diverse schedules.
We are also excited to announce that our Food Handling, CPR, and Conversational ESL classes have officially started and are being offered on Saturdays, providing even more flexibility for our learners.
We encourage you to explore the wide range of programs and classes we offer. Whether you're looking to improve your language skills, gain certifications, or pursue other areas of interest, there is something for everyone. We look forward to seeing you on campus!
