Dear families,
I hope you all had a wonderful, long weekend with your family! We are looking forward to the upcoming eclipse (weather permitting) and are planning a short-15 minute experience for our bison to view this special scientific event! Our teachers are incorporating lessons about the eclipse into their science block and we’d love your support in promoting safety when using the viewing glasses to view the event. In an abundance of caution for our littlest bison, we will not be allowing visitors onto campus during the eclipse. If you’d like to experience the event with your little bison, then you may pick up early between 10:00-10:30 AM. If you’d prefer for your bison to not watch the eclipse, then please return the opt-out form so that we can plan an alternate educational activity for them.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the family and community spring survey. Rosemont Upper well-exceeded our target number of participating families and we look forward to using the survey feedback to inform our planning for next year. In the coming weeks, we will provide exit surveys to our 5th and 8th grade students. This is an opportunity for all of our transitioning students to reflect on their experiences at our school and give us feedback. Additionally, our teachers and staff will mirror the work that we began at SBDM in February and provide input on our developing Campus Improvement Plan. Next year we will welcome 75 new sixth grade students to Rosemont Upper and we are excited to use input from families, students, and staff as we prepare for all of our new and returning Bison.
As a reminder, Coffee with the Principal will focus on the upcoming assessments for students in grades 3-8. Please plan to attend if you'd like to learn more about these assessments and how you can support your Bison at home.
