Children's Sermon: The Parable of the Persistent Widow (Luke 18:1-8)

Have you ever found yourself in a situation that was so hard that you just wanted to give up?

What Jesus wants us to learn from the story of the persistent widow in (Luke 18:1-8) is that God, our Heavenly Father, loves us and wants to do nice things for us. He wants what is best for us and he has the wisdom to know what is best.

Lord, teach us to always pray and not lose heart. Help us to pray with persistent trust in You. Amen.

Last week, we had our Catholic School review. We surveyed families, students and staff about the faith formation and culture at Holy Redeemer. To view the findings of this external review, please click below for the full report.

This week, Mrs. Cossey, Our Indigenous Education Lead had the opportunity to participate in a land-based learning seminar at Miquelon Lake with other indigenous leads and indigenous elders throughout the province. We are excited to see what knowledge she brings home to us at Holy Redeemer and shares with the community.

We are excited to welcome our parent and grand-parent volunteers in the building. We need your help and am so grateful for the time you are able to donate! Please reach out to your teachers or call the office @ 780-922-4522. THANKS SO MUCH!

Congratulations Taryn Shalapay in Grade 7 who won GOLD in the Elk Island Athletic Association - Cross Country race at the Strathcona Wilderness Centre last week. And then represented our School this week and brought in BRONZE at the zones competition.
