Settings in Google Forms
The change is so minor you might miss it! When creating a Form, Settings is now located in the same place as the Questions and Responses tabs. To adjust the settings, simply go down the list of options. You can choose to make it a quiz, manage how responses are collected and protected, and choose how the questions and responses are presented. You can also manage your Default settings (such as all questions required or email collected).
Quicker, friendlier feedback!
One of my favorite ways to give feedback is to screen record as I make corrections and then share the video with the student. Sometimes this is done individually by student, sometimes it is generic and shared with the entire class.
Today, I ALSO found a collection of animated stickers from Christina Scilingo that can be used to add to student work! They are super cute and will be easy-peasy to use! Check out the link to her tweet above or go straight to the resource by clicking here!
25 Formative Assessment Ideas
Among my favorites:
- Tripwire: Ask students what are three things that they think would trip up someone just learning the topic
- 30-second Share: Students have 30 seconds to explain everything they possibly can about the topic to a partner
- 3x Summaries: Students first write a summary of the topic independently, then rewrite with a partner (using fewer words), and finally rewrite in a small group using the smallest number of words possible. Lastly, students share and compare which points were chosen by the different groups.
