We were excited to welcome our staff back to school this past week, and they have already started preparing for the students' return. A big thank you to the PTA for providing a wonderful breakfast to kick off the new school year!

Welcome back to Fulton! The health room staff will be available to accept medications, doctors' orders and supplies at the following times: August 20-22, 12-4pm, or Friday August 23 9-12 am. Please contact the health room if there have been any changes to your child's health over the summer so that we may be prepared to help them. Looking forward to a great school year!

Please complete your Family File as soon as possible to ensure you and your child are ready for the first day of school!

• Family File: Update emergency info for each child via HCPSS Connect. Must be complete prior to the 1st day. Families with a complete Family File learn their child's teacher on August, 21st! HCPSS utilizes Family File for parents/guardians to complete emergency information. Parents/guardians must verify and/or update information for each child and can do so by logging in and selecting the Family File tab on the left, and then clicking on Family File.

We encourage all families to send their child(ren) and dismiss their regularly-intended way beginning on the first day of school. This helps students to familiarize themselves with the process.

For families that receive bus transportation, bus stop information for the 2024-2025 school year is forthcoming and will be accessible online via the Bus Stop Locator or HCPSS Connect Synergy under More Options and then Homeroom / Transportation / POS.

For families that do not receive bus transportation, if your child will be walking or riding their bike to school, I encourage you to take time now to familiarize your child with their route to and from school. Map out and walk the route between your home and school to ensure all roads, sidewalks and pathways are familiar for your child. In addition, review crosswalks and intersections that are safe for crossing the road if required and review safe pedestrian tips with your student. If you encounter any issues regarding safety as you walk these routes with your student, please contact the HCPSS Office of Student Transportation to make HCPSS staff aware.

Additionally, please review the arrival and dismissal information for all students.

Please note HCPD will be removing their crossing guard located at Maple Lawn Blvd @ Market Street for arrival and dismissal times due to very few students utilizing them. This will not affect student safety, however. FES students still receive bus service.

• LINQ Connect is a secure, online portal that allows families to view breakfast and lunch menus, make online meal payments, monitor their child’s account, schedule automatic recurring payments, set up low balance alerts, submit a Free and Reduced Meals program application, and more. Details and information are available online

• Breakfast is served beginning at 9:10 in a “grab & go” style. Students take their breakfast directly to their classrooms to eat during the arrival timeframe. Students are expected to be finished with breakfast, cleaned up, and ready to begin learning by 9:25, with the exception of late HCPSS buses. All other students walking or using our carloop should consider the arrival and breakfast time when planning their morning commute to school.
