UELF WEEKLY
Sept. 5-9, 2022
Planning to go on a field trip or volunteer in your child's class?
ALL volunteers must complete the CRPUSD Volunteer Registration Process, which includes fingerprinting. Please complete the application form and get yourself fingerprinted. This MUST be completed before you can volunteer. Once this is completed, you are clear for the duration of your child's school experience in CRPUSD, including high-school and middle school!
Words From Principal Lunde
Food Choices to Support Learning
While at school, students may only have water in their water bottles. We are noticing many students with high sugar content beverages and this impacts students' abilities to engage in learning. Please support this by sending foods and liquids that provide students with brain fuel. For example, having one salty, crunchy snack goes well with a piece of fruit, slice of cheese, cold cut meats. We know it's hard to find the right food to get your child to eat so make sure there is one thing in there and celebrate when they eat something new. Eat these foods at home too.
Making Smart Choices
Students are hearing Responsible, Respectful, Safe, +Kind. Ask your child what this looks like while at school. Create scenarios and prompt your child to share examples of what it looks like to be one of these characteristics.
