Bake Sale Fundraiser - 1/22 & 1/23
Help support the Wildfire victims in the Pacific Palisades and AltaDena fires by purchaing a muffin, bagels, candy, cookies, brownies and other goodies before and after school. Look for our booths set up in front of the school on Wednesday, 1/22 and Thursday, 1/23. Prices are between $1-$3. CASH ONLY.

SDAC Leadership Opportunity
The Student District Advisory Council (SDAC) is looking for current 8th grade students, who are interested in being a representative for SDAC during the 2025-26 school year. If you are someone who wants to share their ideas, have good communication skills, has the capacity to commit, and are looking to better our school, our district, and our community, please complete the following questions and submit this form by February 13th. After February 13th, interviews will be conducted following the preliminary review of all applications. We will notify those selected when interviews will occur. Please check your learn email for application updates.
Application closes on 2/13/25 at 4:00pm.
6th Outdoor School Information - DUE 2/7
Your student received the Outdoor School Packet from their Science Teacher. The packet contained the following items:
- General Information Sheet: Provides information including: Location; Fee; Staffing; Supervision; Outdoor School Dates; Packing List; Prohibited Items (Please keep this form to refer to as needed)
- Authorization to Treat Form (White): Must be completed and returned to the Science Teacher.
- Heath Form (Green): Must be completed and returned to the Science Teacher

Deadline: If your student will be attending Outdoor School, all forms (Authorization to Treat; Health Form) must be returned to their Science Teacher no later than Friday, February 7th.
Fee: No student shall be denied the opportunity to participate due to a lack of funds. Any money that is provided must be turned in by February 7th.
Medication Form: If your student needs to take any medication (includes Vitamins; Melatonin; Aleve) while at Outdoor School, you and your doctor will need to complete a “Authorization for Medication” form. Please have your student get this form from their Science teacher.
- Exceptions: The only remedies that can be provided by camp are listed on the Green Health form (Children’s Tylenol, Tums, Cough Drops, Calamine Lotion, Neosporin Ointment, and Benadryl).
- Medication at School: If your student already has medication in the Nurse’s Office, you DO NOT have to submit additional paperwork. THIS MEDICATION WILL GO TO CAMP AUTOMATICALLY.
Additional Forms: If your student misplaces any Outdoor School paperwork, please have them go the Front Office or their student’s Science Teacher.
Not Attending: If your student WILL NOT be attending Outdoor School, please complete the Google Form below.

Teen Center Ski Trips - Feb. 14 & March 17
The Thousand Oaks Teen Center is hosting a Ski Trip to Mountain High during the school holidays on February 14th and March 17th. The trip is $150 per person which covers transportation, lift ticket, supervision included. Permission slip/proof of family medical insurance required to attend. Register by clicking on banner below. Coastal Art & Poetry Contest
Our partner from the California Coastal Commission would like to share these amazing opportunities with LC families.
- California students in kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to submit artwork or poetry with a California coastal or marine theme to the Coastal Art & Poetry Contest, presented by the California Coastal Commission.

Climate Storytelling Contest
- California students in 6th through 12th grade are invited to submit a podcast, narrative essay, or photo essay to the Climate Storytelling Contest. Students choose one of the three mediums and answer the following prompt: What are your feelings towards climate change? How can those feelings be turned into action?
Entries can be submitted online by 5pm on May 29th, 2025.
