6th Grade Chocolate Fundraiser is Going Swell
Our 6th grade students started their World's Finest Chocolate fundraiser and I must say, they are some of the best sales people I've ever encountered. They've corned the market in every part of the building. From the main entrance, to the 3rd grade hallway, to the bus and car lines they are selling! In a little over 2 weeks they've sold 187 of the 150 boxes allotted to them. Yes! You read that right, they were given 150 boxes to start and we've had to get more boxes to keep up with the demand. If you forgot to pick up some chocolate for your valentine today, don't fret. I'm certain there's a 6th grader ready to swoop in with a box of chocolates. They're learning lessons in sales, negotiation, handling rejection and working together towards a collective goal. That's got to be worth you spending a dollar on a candy bar. Maybe that last part was a message to myself as I justify the $10 bucks I spent on a single candy bar because, "Sorry RC1, I don't have any change!" I told you all they were excellent sales people.
