Wow! September has flown by, and we're now officially in the "ber" months. While that may not impact us much at the moment, hopefully, the cooler weather will arrive soon, bringing a refreshing change. As we transition into fall, it's a great time to refocus, recharge, and gear up for the exciting months ahead. With October just around the corner, there are several important dates and events to look forward to, so be sure to mark your calendars. Brazos Valley Gives - We Give Where We Live
Renner Academy is excited to be part of the annual day of giving through Brazos Valley Gives! Who is BVG and how do they help?
Brazos Valley Gives brings the region together as one community raising money and awareness for our local nonprofits during the 18-hour online giving challenge. We inspire people to give generously to nonprofits making our region stronger and creating a thriving community for all. Over the past 5 years, the Community Foundation's Annual Brazos Valley Gives has raised $4,723,708 for participating Brazos Valley nonprofits, including over $213k in sponsorship prizes.
You can give now through October 14th, or you can give on the BIG giving day of October 15, 2024!
The Parent Activities Committee (PAC) will be partnering with Texas Roadhouse for our monthly fundraising DINNER WITH RENNER. The proceeds of this fundraiser will go toward teacher and student events and celebrations organized by the PAC. Please join on Tuesday, October 22 from 3pm-9pm for this fun event. Thank you for your support!
The Roadrunner Rave of the Month is RJ from Mrs. Laurie's Advisory!
RJ consistently exemplifies kindness, respect, and leadership. He is always the first to volunteer assistance, whether it's running the computer during lessons or offering support in any way possible. His proactive nature and willingness to help extend beyond just the tasks at hand—RJ frequently assists other students, ensuring they grasp the material and feel supported. During group activities or games, he plays a pivotal role in fostering a positive atmosphere, helping to mediate conflicts and maintain a sense of teamwork and calm. RJ’s contributions greatly enrich the learning environment for everyone.
