Student cell phones are to be off and away (in backpacks) during school hours (8:30 am - 3:40 pm).

Students with cell phones out will be asked to check them into the office for the day.

NOTE: After 4 offenses, parents will need to pick up phones from office.

Air pods, earbuds, & smart watches? YES. If a student is caught with Airpods & earbuds they will be asked to take them to the office. This applies to smart watches if students are using it to send or receive texts.

On behalf of the Urban Indian Coalition of Arizona and the Phoenix Indian Center, we are asking if you would please share the following information with Native American liaisons, school support staff counselors, principal, librarians, administrators, teachers, etc.) and, if applicable, any Native American parent programs within your school district.

We are reaching out to ask if you would be interested in participating in the Community Input on School Discipline Strategies focus groups conducted by ASU Southwest Interdisciplinary Research Center. The purpose is to hear from school personnel and parents in the Maricopa County area to discuss alternative disciplinary strategies regarding student alcohol and substance use in school settings. The focus groups will be 60 minutes long and held virtually on Zoom.

Compensation for participation in this focus group will be a $40 Walmart gift card.

You may choose to participate in one of the following groups:

• Tues., February 20, 6-7pm

• Thurs., February 22, 6-7pm

Please be informed that we have purchased new books/materials for our library as of 2/29/24. State law requires schools to post a list of all library books and materials purchased after January 1, 2023, on the district’s website and the school’s website for at least sixty (60) days after the purchase of the items (this does not include replacement books/materials). In addition, state law mandates that schools notify parents of the opening and closing public review period within seven (7) school days prior to the opening date. Therefore, this notice dated 2/20, 2024 provides the opening date of the public review period for newly purchased library books/materials as 02/29/24 and the closing date as 04/29/24. (A.R.S. 15-721/A.R.S. 15-722).
