WFBMS FAMILY NEWS
November 11, 2024
Greetings Middle School Families,
The month of November is one chock full of activities at the middle school. Last Friday, we honored veterans in our community with an all-school assembly organized by Ms. Lynch and the student council. In a moving tribute, our orchestra and choir performed songs to honor those who served our country, Mr. Hayes and Mr. Williams highlighted letters written by our 8th graders to veterans going on the honor flight, and learners shared historical information about our nation and the military. It was truly a special day. This week, we have our 6th grade band concert and the PTO Holiday Boutique on Thursday, November 14th and next week, we have a choir and 8th grade band concert. I encourage you to come in and see the talents of our learners on full display. They have been working hard to prepare for these performances since the start of the year. Additionally, I hope you come in for the Holiday Boutique, which runs from 4:00-8:00. This is an ideal chance to get a jump on your holiday shopping. There will be a multitude of local vendors as well as a silent auction. This is a major fundraising event for our PTO and open to the public. Please bring friends and neighbors to show your support. Additionally, the PTO is still looking for parent volunteers. Please consider supporting this event with your time. There is a link further down in the newsletter to sign up, if you are interested. I look forward to seeing all of you at the boutique and concerts!
Best.
