Broadwater Bulletin
January 27, 2025
From the Principal
Hello Broadwater Families,
Our "Give a Child a Book" fair will be this week! We are so grateful to KTVH/Scripps for their generosity; each student will receive 4 free books this week.
Starting in February, we will have the opportunity to have artists from the Holter museum come and teach weekly lessons to our classes. These lesson will run through March. The lessons are paid for by the Holter Museum and the art supplies are funded through our Parent Teacher Council. This is just one of the many projects that our PTC supports throughout the school year.
Parent teacher conferences are coming soon, be looking for communication from teachers to schedule these important meetings.
It is an A Week.
It is always a great day to be a Cub!
Ms. Boedecker
From the PTC
Cubs -
I wanted to extend an additional invitation to join us in diving into The Screentime Solution by Emily Cherkin.
The book has some great content, is highly informative while offering practical real world solutions, and is a non-judgemental approach to navigating life with our screens.
After getting into this read, I see how appropriate it is for parents of elementary aged children to address this topic now.
And there's still time for you to get a copy from Holly at the front desk of our school, read it, and participate in upcoming discussions. I'd like to add that if your schedule simply does not allow you to get through the entire book or even any of it, please still feel welcomed to pop in and be a part of one of the upcoming discussions. The Broadwater crew is going to have a meet up next Monday at the Staggering Ox at 5:30.
And this book is part of our school, so if you'd like to borrow a copy any time, please reach out.
