Responsibility
Dear Families,
This month at school, we’re excited to focus on the character trait of responsibility! We’ll be talking with students about what it means to be responsible—whether it's taking care of their things, helping out at home, or making good choices in the classroom.
Mr. A will be leading lessons during counseling time to help everyone understand the importance of being dependable and doing their best. You can join in too! Simple things like reminding your child to complete their homework or help with small tasks around the house will help reinforce what they’re learning at school.
We’re looking forward to watching our students grow into even more responsible and caring individuals this month!
Thanks so much for your support!
Sincerely,
Kathy Chandler
Principal
Halloween Parade and Costume Guidelines
Dunham will hold our annual Halloween Parade on Thursday, October 31 at 8:00 am. Please make sure your child arrives to school on time so they can participate. Parents are invited to join the parade route through the parking lot to watch the ghosts, witches, and superheroes parade by.
Students may wear their costumes to school and must bring a change of clothes for after the parade. Kids play hard and we don't want any costumes ruined during the day. Costumes must be appropriate for school. No violent themes, weapons, masks, or culturally sensitive costumes or props allowed. Make sure students can safely walk in their costumes. We ask that students not wear make up to school. Kids tend to touch their faces and then touch floors, walls, furniture, and other school items which could potentially ruin them.
