WPC WEEKLY NEWS 3-19-25
POINTS FROM THE PRINCIPAL
- Read Across America: This week's Theme is "Words are everywhere!" On Friday, wear clothing that has words! Each classroom has participated in a friendly competition whereby they decorated all of their doors. The creativity and imagination amongst our learning community is truly amazing!
- Author Visit, Rebecca Gardyn Levington: Thanks to our amazing PTOs, local author Rebecca Gardyn Levington visited both Primary Centers! She shared facts about her life, writing process, kept students engaged, and taught an important lesson-everyone feels nervous or anxious sometimes (butterflies in our stomaches!). We learned how we all have tools already inside of us to help us feel better! She read the story "Whatever Comes Tomorrow."
- Kindergarten Parent-Teacher Conferences...are scheduled for April 9, 10, and 11th. Note these are Single Session days for Kindergarten classrooms only. All other classrooms have regular schedules. Kindergarten teachers will be reaching out to you to schedule the conferences.
Reminder! Please RSVP for Kindergarten Music 'Informances'
Kindergarten Music Informances will be held on Tuesday, April 1st (Nassaney, Wilson, Kisker, Chambers) and Thursday, April 3rd (Curran, Klaif, Digricoli). One adult is invited to join their child for 30 minutes of music together in the MPR. These "informances" are not a traditional performance, but rather a chance for you and your child to experience music class together. In order to attend, please RSVP with this form by March 25th.
