Happy Friday!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend! Since we had a "snow day" yesterday, we did reschedule the Student of the Month assembly for next Thursday, February 13th. I did send a special note to any parents that were orginally invited to inform them of the change. Valentine's Day is approaching and classroom teachers will communicate what their plans will be for their class that day. Please be on the lookout for dojo messages or emails from them.

Next week will be our last week before MID-WINTER break. There will be NO SCHOOL for the week of February 17th-21st. Please be sure that you have that marked in your calendar.

This week in the Positivity Project we will discuss the character strength of Love. Love means you value close relationships and being close to others. This is a perfect trait for this week since we are celebrating Valentine's Day on Friday! Please read the letter and talk about this trait with your family during the week to reinforce what we are talking about in school.

Thank you to everyone who has been following the drop off procedures every morning! I think things are going well and every day it seems to be improving. Please look throug this list for some tips that might make things go even smoother!

• Please be sure that your child is on the passenger side of the vehicle so that we can get them out of the car on the curb.
• Make sure your child is READY when we open their door. They should be off of tablets, phones, etc. so that we can keep things moving.
• Please pull as far down as possbile to the first adult so that we can keep cars moving forward
• Please consider just dropping your child off at the curb instead of walking them to the door. They will be fine, I promise!!!
• Please stay in the drop off line and wait your turn instead of cutting in front of others!!!
• If you park in a spot, you will need to walk them through the parking lot to the curb. It is VERY dangerous for students to walk across the parking lot on their own.

There are some days when the menu could possibly change due to food items not being available. We will let the students know if there are changes as soon as we find out.

Our 5th graders will be selling snacks during all three lunches to raise money to go to Camp! All snacks are $1.00. Cash Only PLEASE!!!
