CELEBRATE YOUR CHILD'S BIRTHDAY ON THE MARQUEE!
A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
If you would like to walk your student up to the front doors in the mornings for arrival, you may park at the neighborhood pool across the street and use the crosswalk path on Keith Harrow. Refrain from parking in the staff parking lot, neighborhood, or alongside the street.
Thank you for partnering with us and playing a vital role in keeping our students safe by monitoring your child’s cell phone activity and messaging outside of school.
- Please read and adhere to the policies and procedures we have in place to keep everyone safe.

BRINGING OUT THE BEST
We intentionally teach our Wranglers fairness by modeling everyday. We are fair through our actions with all our students, staff, families, and community. We model that even through adversity, tough situations, and/or disagreements, when we display fairness, we can accomplish anything, TOGETHER!

-SIGN-UP FOR WATCH D.O.G.S.
Background
WATCH D.O.G.S. ® (Dads Of Great Students) is an innovative father involvement, educational initiative of the National Center For Fathering. It began in 1998 in a single school in Springdale, Arkansas and has since grown into a nationally recognized program that has brought hundreds of thousands of fathers and father figures into our nation’s classrooms and hallways. WATCH D.O.G.S. ® has created millions of “in school” volunteer hours and continues to have a tremendously positive impact on the educational process. Today more than 4049 schools in 46 states plus DC participate in WATCH D.O.G.S. ®
Program Goals
- To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important.
- To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.

TITLE 1
PARENT'S RIGHT TO KNOW
As a parent of a student at a campus receiving Title I funds, federal law allows you to ask for information about the certification, college major, and advanced degrees of your child’s teacher(s). You also have the right to request information about the qualifications of a teacher, aide or paraprofessional providing direct services to your child. If you would like to receive this information, you may contact the Cypress-Fairbanks I.S.D. Human Resources Department at 281-897-4099.
FREE AND REDUCED-IT'S MORE THAN JUST LUNCH
Wilson is a PBIS campus, which means we strive to encourage our students to show positive behavior. PBIS is an evidence-based program for supporting students’ behavioral, academic, social, emotional, and mental health. If you would like to know more about PBIS, scan the code below.
CLINIC REMINDERS
There has been a change to CFISD medication administration policy.
The clinic will no longer be able to accept any over the counter medicine or cough drops (except for Tylenol, Motrin/Ibuprofen, or Benadryl) without a doctor’s note or medication permission form signed by a doctor.
**Prescribed medication will also have to be accompanied by a doctor’s note, action plan, or medication permission form signed by their doctor.**
For safety reasons, please do not send medicine of any kind in your students’ pockets, backpacks, or lunch kits. An adult will need to sign medication in for their students.
Please be aware that Texas Administrative Code chapter 97 rule 97.7 requires that students be excluded from school for a fever of 100.0 F or higher.
***Students are not allowed at school the following day after being sent home from school with fever, and they must be 24 hours fever free without using Tylenol/Motrin before returning to school.***
If your student wakes up with fever or if they feel warm/hot, please do not give them Tylenol or Motrin and send them to school as this is unsafe for them and others who may be exposed to a potentially contagious illness.
It is strongly advised for students of all ages to keep a change of clothes from home in their backpacks at all times in case of accidents, spills, or soiled clothes. If they have their own clothes, they’re not having to miss valuable instruction time to wait for parents to bring clothes for them.
Thanks for all you do, and thank you for helping to keep our school safe!
