The time-honored tradition of Reading Month has arrived in Washtucna and this year's theme is DINOSAURS! Students are wildly reading to achieve their goals and earn a t-shirt and prizes for what they accomplish! This morning younger students paired with older students as reading buddies. Watch the nests in the hallway fill with eggs as students accumulate pages!

Cameron, Drake, and Kaden participated in the regional honor band in Colfax Monday. They played three songs with students from bands around the area and did a great job representing our school. Each year a guest director is brought in and this year the director had an emergency. Mrs. Hille was able to step in and work with the students for one of the songs. It was a challenging and exciting day for her and her band performed very well. Congratulations to all!

FFA Competition Season has begun and students are doing well! We sent teams to First Year, Job Interview, and Ag Tools on Monday night. Kalea Herold took home first place and Ali Bartlett took home fourth place in district Job Interview competition. Additionally, Abbi Northern, Kile Noser, and Tyler Cordes earned fourth place in Ag Tools!

We have school on Friday, March 21 to support our student actors! Please send your students to school and take in one of the plays in LaCrosse!

Yearbook forms are available in the office now. The yearbook staff is currently designing the next yearbook cover and working hard to build the pages that will store the memories from this school year!
