Chromebook Charger Recall
One of the district's technology vendors has alerted the D41 Tech Department that they received reports from consumers of potential issues with some of the Chromebook chargers, which were supplied by a 3rd party. Out of an abundance of caution, the vendor is asking the district to stop using these adapters.
According to their records, we purchased chargers with the SKU/Serial Number of MDAC1601 in the fall of 2022. Below is a photo of these adapters to aid in identifying the adapters being referenced.
Please take a moment and check your D41 issued Chromebook charger, if it matches this serial number please stop using it and bring it back to school as soon as possible and we will swap it out for a new one.

World Famous Violinist Rachel Barton Pine and her Daughter Sylvia Visit Hadley
On Friday, December 22, 2023, world famous violin virtuoso, Ms. Rachel Barton Pine and her daughter Sylvia performed at Hadley Jr. High School. Ms. Pine thrilled 6th grade audience members with a performance of many pieces of different genres. Violin duets with her daughter Sylvia were beautifully performed as well. The 6th grade orchestra students also received masterful guidance from Ms. Pine to help improve their performance skills, followed by photographs and autograph signings.
"It was a great pleasure to visit Hadley Jr. High School. It is always inspiring to witness the excitement of students who are encountering music that they haven’t heard before. I especially enjoyed hearing the kids play and working with them. They were very eager and enthusiastic and sounded great! Congratulations to Ms. Alemis on her wonderful work nurturing a love of music in the children of Glen Ellyn." - Rachel Barton Pine
“I was so thrilled to have Ms. Pine and Sylvia come to Hadley! Ms. Pine’s musical expertise and brilliant performance skills will inspire students for many years to come,” stated Ms. Georgia Alemis, Hadley Orchestra Director. “We are truly grateful for Rachel and Sylvia for making this special visit such a memorable experience for everyone! A sincere thank you goes to our D41 administration, D41 School Board of Education, Hadley Staff, orchestra parents & students and the DuPage Foundation for all of their support!”
