Meet and Greet
We are excited to see our Wolverines tomorrow at our Meet and Greet! The building will be open to families from 2:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. Please note, except for 5th grade, all grade levels have moved to different areas in the building. Staff will be on hand during the Meet and Greet to help direct students and families to their classrooms.
The Meet and Greet is also an opportunity to bring your school supplies. If you ordered school supply packs through our PTA, these supplies will be delivered directly to teachers’ classrooms. If you need to purchase school supplies, please reference our grade level SCHOOL SUPPLY LISTS 24-25 on our website and bring their supplies on the 1st day of school.
First Day of School Information
Teachers will meet students outside their assigned grade level door beginning at 8:45 a.m. and enter the building no later than 9:05 a.m. Signs will be posted to help students and families find their teachers. We will also have additional staff outside to assist our wolverine families. The circle drive will be closed for arrival on the first day to ensure enough space for students to gather.
Grade Level Doors
Kindergarten: Door 11 (off of Grove)
First Grade: Door 12 (front blacktop area)
Second Grade: Front Door
Third Grade: Front Door
Fourth Grade: Front Door
Fifth Grade: Door 9 (by the back circle drive)
Note, the streets around Westgate will be very congested with students arriving for school. If you plan to walk your child to their assigned door, please allow extra time to find parking.
We will not join together as a whole school to say the Pledge of Allegiance to begin the day. Instead, classrooms will celebrate the beginning of the school year with a Welcome Back Assembly in the afternoon. Look for pictures of the fun in the next Westgate Wire!
