AUGUST 2023
Welcome Back 2024
Welcome Back!
Dear Faculty and Staff:
Welcome back! I hope you have had a great summer and were able to refuel and recharge. It's almost time for us to open our doors and welcome our students to the 2024-2025 school year!
Our traditional ACS Institute Day will be held on Monday, August 5, at Athens High School. You are invited to enjoy breakfast from 7:30 AM - 8:15 AM in the cafeteria, which will be prepared and served with care by the Athens High School Child Nutrition Team. After breakfast, you will move upstairs to the APAC, where you can visit with vendors and enjoy the musical performance until our meeting begins at 8:30 a.m.
Institute Day parking will be available in the north parking lot, with greeters available to direct you to the cafeteria and APAC. Remember, Institute Day is required. Please be sure to sign in on the sign-in sheets that will be located on the table as you enter the AHS Arena /Gym. At the conclusion of the meeting, you will follow the schedule of events and activities that will be provided to you by your principal or supervisor. View the digital agenda on Monday morning at acs-k12.org/instituteday.
I am so thankful for each and every one of you and I look forward to the upcoming school year being filled with stories of great success and great learning.
Can’t wait to see you soon!
Sincerely,

Mission 2030 Strategic Plan
Mission 2030 begins with One Athens, the guiding light that fosters collaboration and unity within the district and the broader community. Under One Athens, partnerships and connections thrive, fostering an exchange of ideas and best practices for the benefit of all stakeholders. One Athens played a key role in creating the ACS Portrait of a Graduate, a shared vision representing our community's aspirations for all students.
Mission 2030 embraces the collective vision of the ACS Portrait of a Graduate, preparing students not only for academic achievement but also for success in their personal and professional lives beyond the classroom. It is a bold mission, driven by valuable insights from educators and stakeholders, dedicated to staying relevant in a constantly evolving educational landscape.
Mission 2030 consists of four interconnected, strategic goals with specific commitments that are aligned with our district's vision, mission, and values. Mission 2030 will serve as the guiding framework for our transformative journey toward 2030 to ensure we achieve our mission of empowering all students for lifelong success in a rapidly changing world.
