Rattlin Rattler December '2024
It's beginning to look a lot like...🎄
Principal's Final Message...
Dear Raba Families and Friends,
This is my final Rattlin’ Rattler message as my time on campus gradually winds down, leading up to my retirement on December 19th. While stepping away from this cherished role has been a difficult decision, I am filled with confidence knowing that the strong foundation we’ve built together will continue to guide Raba Elementary toward a bright and prosperous future. The incredible staff, leadership, and community will carry forward the traditions of excellence, care, and love that make our school so special.
As I look toward retirement, I am excited about the opportunity to spend more time with my family and to explore new ways to support education and the community that has meant so much to me. Though my time as your principal is coming to an end, Raba Elementary and Northside ISD will always hold a special place in my heart.
Thank you for the privilege of serving as your principal. It has truly been the honor of a lifetime to walk this journey alongside such an extraordinary community of students, staff, and families.
With gratitude and love,
Francesca L. Neal
December Message...
Dear Raba Families and Friends,
December is here, and it’s shaping up to be a short but incredibly busy month at Raba! I want to thank all the families and friends who joined us for our Veterans Day Assembly. It was a heartfelt celebration to honor and recognize our Veterans, and your presence made it even more special. Additionally, it was wonderful to see so many parents attend our PTA event and enjoy the amazing performance by our 4th graders.
I also want to extend my gratitude for the generous Thanksgiving sides provided for our staff and to all the parent volunteers who support our students as chaperones on field trips. Your involvement means so much, and we truly couldn’t do it without you. For parents interested in volunteering in the future, please take a moment to review chaperone responsibilities to ensure you’re able to meet the expectations before committing.
If you haven’t had a chance to attend an event, there are still opportunities this month! On December 10th, we’ll have our 5th graders performing after the PTA meeting at 5:00 PM. I hope to see you there!
As we prioritize safety, I want to thank everyone for helping us maintain a smooth drop-off and pick-up process. Pulling up as far as possible and parking to walk your children through the crosswalk are simple yet impactful actions that keep everyone safe. I also appreciate your cooperation in adhering to traffic rules, especially stopping at the stop sign—your efforts are invaluable.
As we approach winter break (December 23rd – January 6th), I want to wish everyone a safe, joyful, and memorable holiday season. I hope you take time to create special memories with your loved ones during this festive time.
Yours in Education,
Francesca L. Neal
Principal

The Texas Match The Promise Foundation
The Texas Match the Promise Foundation℠encourages families to save for college by offering competitive matching scholarships and tuition grants to students who are beneficiaries of a Texas Tuition Promise Fund® account — the state's prepaid college tuition plan.
Match the Promise scholarships help young Texans realize their dreams of a college education while also encouraging families to take steps now to prepare for their children's futures.
To apply for a scholarship, the Promise Fund beneficiary must be in grade three through nine and have a family income of $100,000 or less. Students must write a career essay and meet residency and other requirements.
The Foundation accepts scholarship applications Sept. 1 through Dec. 31. Families also can enroll in the Promise Fund during the scholarship application period if they have not already done so.
Match the Promise is funded by generous contributions from citizens, building a stronger Texas for tomorrow.
