In 2015, Phillip Morris — a champion of how good design enriches our communities and our lives, and a former executive editor of Southern Living magazine — established the Morris Fund through an estate gift, as an endowed Field of Interest Fund at the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham. He envisioned a fund that provides resources to support the design arts and the role that the design arts play in building thriving communities. Applications may be submitted beginning tomorrow and are due by 11:59 p.m. June 30. Applicants may be asked to participate in a site visit prior to the Morris Fund committee making their decision.
