OVMS Fundraiser
Hello Oak View Middle School Families!
Tomorrow morning, we will kick-off our annual fundraiser at Oak View. Students will receive information outlining the fundraiser details during Advisory class.
We know that parents and students are busy, so we want to make the fundraiser EASY and as SUCCESSFUL as possible. We also want to stress that participation is completely optional. If you or your student chooses not to participate, that is completely fine. However, we appreciate all of your efforts, as we work to raise funds that directly support students at Oak View.
Our entire STEP IT UP fundraiser can be completed in as little as TEN MINUTES.
The most important thing you can do to support our school is to help your child complete the first night “Golden Ticket” email campaign that they will bring home from school tomorrow.
If you choose to participate, to get our fundraiser off to a great start, we ask that each family REGISTER and SEND OUT AT LEAST 10 EMAILS TOMORROW NIGHT to friends and family, enlisting their support. Don’t forget to add yourself, as you can donate online as well.
All donations are processed via PayPal, so they are safe and secure, and the emails you send will only be used for this fundraiser (not saved for any other purpose).
While you have until the end of our fundraiser to raise money, this First Night Golden Ticket Assignment will not only qualify your child some fun participation rewards and massive giveaway drawings, but will help us get off to an amazing start!
Please Visit: www.stepitupkids.com/Oakview55304
Parents, below is a two-minute “how to” video if you have any questions about registering:

Thank you for your support!
Upcoming Scholastic Book Fair
The Scholastic Book Fair will be coming to Oak View on Wednesday, April 2nd and Thursday, April 3rd for all 6-8 grade students to shop during their ELA class. Cash, check, Apple Pay, credit card, or ewallet will be accepted at the fair. More information coming soon as the fair dates approach.
Parking Lot Procedure - Student Drop off and Pick up
Our goal is to ensure the safety of all students. In order to do so, we have specific procedures in place for drop-off and pick-up. The student school day is 8:25a-3:05p.
For morning drop off, the doors to the school are open for students at 7:45a to wait in the foyer until the building/hallway doors and cafeteria open at 8:00a. Please do not drop your student off before 7:45a (especially in these cold months) unless it is prearranged for a club, class or activity. For these scheduled items, the instructor will meet the students for entry at the front entrance per the arrangement.
Due to the large number of vehicles and foot traffic, please understand that the drop-off/pick-up process will take time.
- Please patiently wait in the vehicle line to drop-off/pick-up your student.
- Use the entire curb area for drop -off and pick-up. The first vehicle in line should be almost to the stop sign, not in front of the main entrance.
- Students need to exit the passenger side of the vehicle onto the sidewalk.
- Do not cut through the middle lanes of the parking lot.
- Students are not to cross traffic to get to vehicles or out of vehicles. Do not let your student cross the parking lot.
Several vehicles are able to pick-up or drop-off students simultaneously when utilizing the whole curb, which speeds up the process for everyone.

Bobcat Den homework help
Oak View Students have a place, after school, to:
- Work on homework
- Get help from a teacher
- Get caught up from being absent
Bobcat Den is located in the Media center
- The Den began Monday, Oct. 21 and ends Thursday, May 29. (The Bobcat Den will NOT be held on conference nights.)
- The Bobcat Den runs Mondays through Thursdays from 3:10p to 4:15p.
- On Tuesdays and Thursdays there are activity buses students can take home - these buses do not depart until 5:00p (students are supervised in the Media Center until the buses leave). On Mondays and Wednesdays, students will have to arrange their own transportation home (for safety reasons, students will not be allowed to linger in the building after the Den).
- The purpose of the Bobcat Den is to provide a safe, organized place for students to receive additional academic support. Students who are off-task and.or disrupt the opportunity for others will be removed from the Den and may lose the privilege of future participation.
(Students should bring all necessary materials when they report for help.)
